Welcome to Kuna

Kuna is a small town with a rural feel offering a unique quality of life in the state's fastest-growing area. With easy access to Interstate 84, Kuna provides a short commute to work and play in either Boise, Meridian, or Nampa. Those who live in Kuna enjoy a beautiful green oasis near the desert plain while having easy access to the amenities offered by larger cities. The newer luxurious planned communities offer resort-style amenities like gyms, parks, pools, tennis courts, and clubhouses. Many neighborhoods have large estate homes with huge lots.

Indian Creek runs through the center of town, providing a picturesque backdrop for picnics, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. Residents also enjoy taking advantage of the parks and recreation trails where they can swim, hike, and bike. The Greenbelt trail runs along the Boise River and is one of the longest trails in Idaho. The trail is one of the most popular destinations for residents looking to take a long walk or bike ride. Hubbard Reservoir Trail System is more remote, but it is also a popular location for nature hikes and birdwatching. Bird lovers also enjoy the Birds of Prey Conservation Area south of Kuna in the Snake River Canyons. Downtown Kuna also features excellent activities and amenities, including a skatepark, BMX track, disc golf, kids’ splash pad, and many shops and boutiques.

Kuna offers a welcoming and laid-back ambiance and a rural suburban feel. The residents are active and tight-knit, enjoying outdoor activities and events throughout the year. One of the most popular events is the Famous Kuna Days Celebration which includes a parade, carnival rides, food booths, and various other activities for families. Residents spend much of their free time enjoying hiking, biking, fishing, boating, skiing, and relaxing in the region's gorgeous parks and green spaces. Every season of the year offers new and exciting activities and adventures.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Kuna has an abundance of superb dining choices. For delicious Peruvian fare, go to Lima Limon. Fiesta Guadalajara is a classy and welcoming spot for authentic Mexican food and cocktails. The Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill has a rustic and funky decor and a menu packed with handcrafted cocktails, steaks, seafood, and gourmet pizzas. 

Kuna is home to Cowgirls, the largest country-themed nightclub in Idaho. Cowgirls offers live music, dancing, and events. Kuna is also just a short drive from Boise, where you will find many theaters, clubs, and entertainment venues.

Downtown Kuna has many unique shops and boutiques. A local favorite is the Wildflower Boutique, located on W. Main Street. Kuna is also a short drive from major shopping centers in Nampa, Meridian, and Boise.

Things to Do

Kuna is a vibrant town with many things to do. Downtown Kuna offers parks, playgrounds, sports fields, and more. Sadie Creek Park has great playgrounds, picnic areas, and a small beach. Nicholson Park offers a fishing pond, picnic areas, and access to Indian Creek. Downtown Kuna has the Kuna Skatepark and BMX Extreme, where children and thrill-seeking adults can enjoy skateboarding and riding BMX bikes. There is also disc golf, sports fields, and several playgrounds. There are also many outdoor activities like hiking trails, disc golf, and BMX tracks. 

Kuna is also close to several wineries, like Indian Creek Winery and Sandstone Vineyards. Kuna is also known for its exciting community events like the 12 Days of Christmas and fireworks on July 4th. Hubbard Reservoir Trail System offers miles of trails for hiking, biking, skating, and bird watching. 

The nearby Snake River Canyon is the site of the Birds of Prey Conservation Area, which offers educational programs for children and teachers. The canyon also provides opportunities for camping, hiking, horseback riding, ATV trails, and a shooting range. Golf enthusiasts will find the Falcon Crest Golf Club on the east end of Kuna. Falcon Crest is one of the top five courses in Idaho.
